OUR STORY

Hi! We are Ash (10) and Atl (12). We have been skating together since August 2016.
OMG – that is a third and a quarter of our lifetimes!!!
We have 2 international gold medals, 2 international silver medals and 1 international bronze medal together. In December 2017, we became the youngest skating couple to ever compete at the British Ice Skating Championships in Sheffield at Basic Novice level and to also win the title. In 2018, we moved to Intermediate Novice level where we remained the youngest couple to hold the highest score in our free dance component and which gave us Silver at the British Ice Skating Championships. We are members of the GB development squad and train on ice 18 hours a week and off ice 12 hours a week
We are determined to become international champions one day.

OUR TRAINING SCHEDULE

Ice dance, like most sports, is a skill that involves much practice. We practice on ice every day for 3 to 4 hours, 6 days a week. We are serious about what we do and are determined to get to the Winter Olympics in 2026.

We supplement our on-ice sessions with 2 hours off-ice training every day in ballet, dance, and conditioning.

Nutrition is part of our training, just like fitness, dance, off ice training, etc. so that we can work WITH our bodies and not against them. Our food is our fuel and we want our bodies to produce the best energy possible. We are serious athletes and want to have our heatlthy nutrition plan. This means studying the human body and biology & chemistry. Click on the button below to see some of our favourite and easy recipes.

We eat, sleep, breathe, and live for our sport and we believe that sleep plays a major role in our athletic performance and competitive results. Research has shown that especially REM sleep will  provide much needed energy to our brains and our bodies. If we do not get enough sleep, our bodies will not have time to repair and consolidate memory and release hormones.

We need 8-9 sometimes even 10 hours of sleep every day to improve our mood, performance and concentration.

Sleep helps us remain fit, eat healthily and stay well.

Smile, relax & enjoy our skating.
